I actually joined Fanart100 at LiveJournal a long time ago, reserving a spot to draw images from the Abhorsen Trilogy by my favorite author, Garth Nix. I drew the sketch for this a long time ago but only just colored it tonight. I'm still not quite comfortable with coloring, but I suppose practice won't hurt.
This is Sameth making a special frog-thing for his mother that goes around eating insects like mosquitoes. In the book you don't see him making it, but when I thought of the prompt for Shapes all I could think of were Charter marks. Sameth has a skill for combining marks and creating things, so I figured it should focus on him. Unfortunately I can't remember a lot from the books so the colors might be off. Character belongs to Garth Nix Art belongs to me, SKS PLEASE don't fave without commenting! Thanks. |
